About Me

My name is Huiting Diane Bringhurst, I was born and grew up in Taiwan. My maiden name is Chen. I have taught in public school in Taiwan for 3 1/2 year before I went to BYU-Hawaii. I had my major with Hospitality and minor with EIL English as international Language.  I have been teaching first grade Chinese Immersion students for 4 years.  I taught summer camp for Eastlake elementary, Calvin Smith Elementary, and Springland Elementary in 2011, and was a full time substitute teacher for Jordan school district.  I taught one year at Eastlake elementary in Daybreak, and  this is my third years  teaching first grade Chinese Immersion at LonePeak Elementary in Sandy.

Through many years of teaching experiences, I am experienced in helping students get ready for their first year of Chinese Immersion.  I also will consult with parents to help them evaluate their child needs in regards to Chinese Immersion.

Chinese Immersion is not a bonus program, it is a program to help your child prepare for their future.  It requires long term commitment.  After your child graduates from 12th grade in Chinese Immersion program, they will earn an associate degree in Mandarin Chinese .  No matter what other degree they will pursue in the future,  Mandarin Chinese will  help you child increase their job opportunities.
